What about Lingua Italiana Marche (LIM)?
It is a didactic project to learn Italian language, in presence and online. The LIM project follows three steps:
1 - basic knowledge - how the Italian language works
2 - skill development - how to perform in known situations.
3 - competence development - how to perform in new situations.
Transform basic and background knowledge into skills and competencies through direct experience with the Italian language and culture.
When we approach the Italian language and culture, for whatever reason, we have a completely personal empathic experience. That' s why the activities of the LIM Project are tailored to each participant's way of learning.
How?
Use your recent skills to deal with new situations. See the language in action: how we communicate in given situations. Reproduce those situations in role play. Observe the structure of the sentence, try to identify its chemistry, add your creativity, face new situations. Observe and learn the basic structure of a sentence, see how you can modify and adapt it to you, and feed it with new words, communicating in a constant game of situations and roles, looking at the next step.
Be connected with the Italian context; collaborate with other participants in a peer to peer exchange: you can learn a lot from those who have already settled in Italy or have had experience in the country;
Designing together the study plan, the objectives, the activities, the materials, the experiences inside and outside the physical or virtual classroom: each step is tailored and based on constant feedback.
Anywhere at any time. The physical classroom is in via San Marco di sotto, in Cupramontana, but it can be anywhere, on the web for example or in the City downtown. Participants can work on projects in web contexts (on a platform like Zoom for example), both with the tutor and with other participants, anywhere in the world. Receive and send feedback, clarifications, materials.The Lingua Italiana Marche ONLINE project is part of this framework.
Tailoring. The road will inevitably have the connotations of those who make it and travel it. Everyone's interests and motivations come into play. Learning Italian for pleasure or out of necessity, for nostalgia or joy or who knows what else; a great deal of creative freedom can arise in every aspect of teaching and learning, in relationships and dialogues.
Testing. To see if you have reached the capacity to do what you have committed yourself to, to develop alternative plans, or consolidation programs. There are no rankings to climb. First and foremost, evaluation is autonomous. And then, if necessary, a grade can be given to the teacher....
"The lessons with Marco (Lingua Italiana Marche) helped me a lot to bring my partly 20 years old Italian knowledge back up to speed and to learn new things. The lessons are very intensive, but flexible to the previous knowledge and the pace of the participants. In addition, there was homework that you could submit in advance if you wanted and get corrected - that helped me even more. And of course we learned a lot of interesting things about Italy and also laughed a lot and heartily." (Elke B. - Student)

If I must recommend Marco’s Italian Classes? My answer will be YES! 100%.
I do not have enough words to describe how helpful was my Italian classes with Marcos. My story starts when I moved to Margarita Island a few years ago, knowing no one in this new city, I decided to learn a new language to have some friends. Marco’s school was just a few walking minutes from my home. In our first meeting, I knew it will be good (at this point 0 acknowledge of Italian or the culture). It was the best choice, Marco’s as a teacher doesn’t just go through the different parts of the language, he shows me to love the country through the culture, food, and idiosyncrasy of the inhabitants. After a few years, I still have my Italian group, including Marco’s and we are planning someday to meet at Le Marche to practice our new language. Hopefully, it will be soon. (Melanie S.)

The Italian course taught by Professor Marco Porta, besides having an excellent pedagogy, responsibility and professionalism with his subject, also has a humanistic content, where one acquires a sense of family with the group. His classes are enjoyable, fun, you learn with resources such as songs, videos, movies, etc.. Also messages of conservation and love to our environment, to nature, you learn while having fun and going to class is a real pleasure. I feel very well served, I am able to read, write and express myself in Italian. Thank you professor for your wonderful work and legacy of teaching this beautiful language. (Sisley v.)

Marco Porta was my Italian language teacher for about a year. I had a one hour lesson every week. I appreciated his precision in his work. One lesson was divided into: - telling and discussing; - correcting the past week's homework; - working on the basis of the book "Un giorno in Italia". I am happy with the progress I have made. My vocabulary has increased and so has my confidence in expressing myself. The atmosphere during class was always pleasant. (Erika L.)
